Why this is worth doing
Not marketing lines — the actual scale of what's going on in UK homes.
~60%
of UK homes are supplied with hard water — limescale on kettles and taps, and a chalky edge to the taste, is the norm for most of the country, not the exception.
<50 → 400+ ppm
UK water hardness varies hugely by area — from soft water in parts of Scotland and Wales to some of the hardest tap water in Europe across London, Herts and the South East.
99.9%+
of tests on public water supplies meet all safety standards, per the Drinking Water Inspectorate. Safe by law — but "safe" doesn't mean chlorine-free, scale-free, or good-tasting.
Questions, answered
Yes — no obligation. We test your hardness, chlorine and TDS on the spot and give you a straight recommendation. There's no pressure to book anything further.
Most systems are fitted in under two hours by our team, in the same visit — tank, faucet and system all included. More detail on the Installation page.
Most standard kitchen cabinets have enough room. Your free water test visit includes a quick space check, so you'll know before you order.
Sediment and carbon filters are typically changed every 6–12 months, and the membrane every 2–3 years. Your first change is free — details on the Servicing page.
Standard covers the essentials and already outperforms a typical jug or tap filter. Plus adds a guard filter for a longer membrane life and a remineralisation stage for better taste. Premium adds UV sterilisation and a free leak alarm on top — mainly worth it for private supplies or extra peace of mind.
