A reverse osmosis system isn't fit-and-forget. It's not high-maintenance either — it just needs its filters changed on a schedule, same as anything else with a cartridge in it.
Sediment & carbon stages
Typically changed every 6–12 months, depending on how hard your water is and how much the system is used.
RO membrane
The core filter typically lasts 2–3 years before it needs replacing, depending on your water and usage.
UV bulb (Premium)
UV sterilisation is only effective when the bulb's replaced on schedule — we'll flag it, not leave you to remember.
How we handle it
Every package includes a free first filter change — so the first time your system needs attention, it doesn't cost you anything and we can check how everything's settled in.
After that, we'll let you know when a change is due rather than leaving you to track it yourself. Replacement filters are available for every system we install — part of how we choose what to stock in the first place is making sure parts are still available years down the line, not just at the point of sale.
If something's gone wrong between scheduled visits — a drop in flow, an odd taste, a leak — get in touch and we'll sort a time to come back out and take a look.
Servicing questions
Sediment and carbon filters are typically changed every 6–12 months, and the membrane every 2–3 years, depending on your water. Your first filter change is free with every package, and we'll let you know when it's due after that.

Yes, once we've shown you how at handover — the cartridges are designed for straightforward swaps. If you'd rather we handled it, ask us about booking a service visit instead.
